Objectives:

• ·         Review the burden of chronic kidney disease and type 2 diabetes in the United States
• ·         Contrast the mechanism of action of Finerenone with that of other aldosterone receptor antagonists
• ·         Summarize the current guideline recommendations for aldosterone antagonists in the management of CKD associated with T2DM
• ·         Evaluate recent literature supporting the role of Finerenone in the treatment of CKD associated with T2DM

Pharmacy techs:

• ·         Contrast the mechanism of action of Finerenone with that of other aldosterone receptor antagonists
• ·         List the current guideline recommendations for aldosterone antagonists in the management of CKD associated with T2DM

Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.
