Strategic Prioritiestegic Priorities
Strategic Priority 1:
Advocate for continued health‐system pharmacy representation on the Board of Pharmacy (BOP).
- 1) Maintain an annual package of 3-5 vetted candidates that can be considered for any openings on the BOP (Legislative)
- 2) In the next year, propose to BOP to establish hospital advisory group to review items and how they relate to hospital practice (Legislative)
Strategic Priority 2:
Continue to provide educational resources for all members and potential members at state and district meetings, as well as webinar offerings.
- 1) Offer at least 24 hours of online CE webinars/programs every year (Education)
- 2) Promote presentations on social media at 2 weeks and 1 week before with content-specific graphics (Education, Public Relations, Communications)
- 3) Conduct technician-specific survey created by a technician in the next year to identify preferred methods and platforms for CE (Professional Affairs, Education)
Strategic Priority 3:
Encourage GSHP membership and involvement from all health‐system Directors of Pharmacy (DOP).
- 1) Develop programming specific for DOPs (e.g., District Meetings, Pharmacy Research Forum) in the next year (Professional Affairs)
- 2) Advertise group discounts to DOPs every 6 months (Communications, Public Relations)
Strategic Priority 4:
4.1: Maintain a high level of member satisfaction.
- 1) Conduct an annual member survey and develop an action plan based on results (Professional Affairs)
4.2: Increase number of emerging practitioner members.
- 1) Maintain student mentorship program as well as programming specific to emerging practitioners (e.g., Resident Research Forum) (Emerging Practitioners)
4.3: Increase social media presence to attract new members.
- 1. Create a structure for monthly posting of digital marketing content on social media pages (e.g., district meeting content, every statewide meeting, behind the scenes content for events, quarterly ASHP content) (Public Relations, Communications)
- 2) Put out a call for students/pharmacists who have digital marketing and photography experience to join/assist Public Relations committee (Public Relations)
Strategic Priority 5:
Promote continued expansion, sustainment, and leadership opportunities for members.
- 1) At Committee Day and throughout the year, engage members in committee work and encourage student participation (Emerging Practitioners)
- 2) Ratify formal committee charges at Committee Day and utilize talents of the membership to execute the strategic initiatives (Organizational Affairs)
