Pharmacist Objectives:

• Review the pharmacology of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists and current indications for use
• Discuss some of the lesser-known side effects of GLP-1 agonists
• Examine potential future indications for use based on current research
• Determine how the health-system team plays a role in monitoring and appropriate use of GLP-1 agonists

Pharmacy Technician Objectives:

• Review the pharmacology of glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) agonists and current indications for use
• Recite some of the lesser-known side effects of GLP-1 agonists
• List potential future indications for use based on current research
• Determine how the health-system team plays a role in monitoring and appropriate use of GLP-1 agonists

This is a knowledge based activity

Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.   Participants of the session who complete the evaluation and provide accurate NABP e-Profile information will have their credit for 1.0 contact hours (0.10 CEU) submitted to CPE Monitor as early as 1 day after the event and no later than 60 days after the event.  Please know that if accurate e-Profile information is not provided within 60 days of the event, credit cannot be claimed after that time.  The participant is accountable for verifying the accurate posting of CE credit to their CPE Monitor account within 60 days.
