The Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists (GSHP) is excited to invite pharmacy technicians to join the Pharmacy Technician Advancement Committee! Our mission is to empower pharmacy technicians to elevate pharmacy practice through ongoing professional development, and we need your expertise, energy, and commitment to achieve this goal.
Committee Charge & Objectives:
As a member of this committee, you will be able to contribute to the development and advancement of pharmacy technicians across Georgia. Key tasks include:
- Recruit committee members: Help expand and engage our committee to build a stronger community.
- Conduct a gap analysis: Identify opportunities for pharmacy technician engagement within GSHP and help bridge those gaps.
- Mentor program inclusion: Ensure pharmacy technicians are integrated into the GSHP Mentor Program during the next enrollment cycle.
- Survey development: Create a technician-specific survey to understand preferred methods and platforms for Continuing Education (CE) programming.
- Technician stipend proposal: Develop a proposal for a technician stipend to attend GSHP meetings, supporting professional growth and attendance.
- Career development workshops: Design a resume and interview skills workshop to accelerate pharmacy technician career development.
