Pharmacist Objectives: 

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Identify key updates in the 2024 IDSA Guidance on the Treatment of Antimicrobial-Resistant Gram-Negative Infections
• Explain the mechanisms of resistance in gram-negative bacteria and their clinical implications for treatment selection
• Evaluate the role of newer antimicrobial agents in the management of multidrug-resistant gram-negative infections, including dosing strategies and monitoring parameter

Technician Objectives:

At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• List key updates in the 2024 IDSA Guidance on the Treatment of Antimicrobial-Resistant Gram-Negative Infections
• Recite the mechanisms of resistance in gram-negative bacteria and their clinical implications for treatment selection
• List the role of newer antimicrobial agents in the management of multidrug-resistant gram-negative infections, including dosing strategies and monitoring parameters

This is a knowledge based activity.  This activity was planned to meet the educational needs of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians who practice in any setting.

Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.   Participants of the session who complete the evaluation and provide accurate NABP e-Profile information will have their credit for 1.0 contact hours (0.10 CEU) submitted to CPE Monitor as early as 1 day after the event and no later than 60 days after the event.  Please know that if accurate e-Profile information is not provided within 60 days of the event, credit cannot be claimed after that time.  The participant is accountable for verifying the accurate posting of CE credit to their CPE Monitor account within 60 days. Participants must participate completely in the activity and complete the course evaluation in its entirety to claim continuing pharmacy education credit.
