Objectives for Pharmacists
• Apply updated COVID-19, pneumococcal, and shingles vaccine recommendations into clinical practice
• Differentiate between patient populations in which COVID-19 additional or booster doses are recommended
• Describe pneumococcal vaccine schedules based on the vaccine administered
• Identify patients that are now eligible for shingles vaccination with expanded recommendations
Objectives for Pharmacy Technicians
• Identify the different available COVID-19 vaccine formulations
• Distinguish between the different pneumococcal vaccines
• Recognize patient populations at risk for shingles
Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Participants of the session who complete the evaluation and provide accurate NABP e-Profile information will have their credit for 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU) submitted to CPE Monitor as early as 1 day after the event and no later than 60 days after the event. The participant is accountable for verifying the accurate posting of CE credit to their CPE Monitor account within 60 days.
