Objectives for Pharmacists

1.      Describe recent patterns in gram-negative bacterial resistance 

2.      Review antibacterial agents used to treat resistant gram-negative infections  

3.      Discuss the IDSA 2020 updates on the treatment of urinary tract infections caused by ESBL-E and CRE 

4.      Discuss the IDSA 2020 updates on the treatment of non-urinary tract infections caused by ESBL-E and CRE 

5.       Discuss the literature regarding the use of recommended antibiotics mentioned in the IDSA 2020 updates 

Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Participants of the session who complete the evaluation and provide accurate NABP e-Profile information will have their credit for 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU) submitted to CPE Monitor as early as 1 day after the event and no later than 60 days after the event.  The participant is accountable for verifying the accurate posting of CE credit to their CPE Monitor account within 60 days.
