Presentation Objectives for Pharmacists:

• Summarize the pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD) properties of vancomycin
• Review the safety and efficacy of trough guided dosing.
• Evaluate the safety and efficacy of area under the curve (AUC) guided dosing.
• Recognize the methods of AUC calculation (two post dose levels vs Bayesian software.)

• Review the safety and efficacy of trough guided dosing.
