Objectives for Pharmacists

• ·         Identify factors that may require early, aggressive intervention in amniotic fluid embolism
• ·         Recognize the variable clinical presentations of amniotic fluid embolism
• ·         Understand the pathophysiology that causes the catastrophic cascade of events in amniotic fluid embolism
• ·         Explain the mechanism of action of A-OK and why it has been effective in treating patients with AFE
• ·         Critically review and analyze cases to improve patient outcomes in the management of AFE

Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Participants of the session who complete the evaluation and provide accurate NABP e-Profile information will have their credit for 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU) submitted to CPE Monitor as early as 1 day after the event and no later than 60 days after the event.  The participant is accountable for verifying the accurate posting of CE credit to their CPE Monitor account within 60 days.
