Objectives for Pharmacists

• 1.      Identify the pathophysiology and risks associated with penicillin allergies
• 2.      Describe the administration and interpretation of penicillin skin testing (PST)
• 3.      Evaluate the current literature on the use of PST in various patient populations with a focus on the inpatient setting
• 4.      Discuss the potential place in therapy for PST

Georgia Society of Health-System Pharmacists is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. Participants of the session who complete the evaluation and provide accurate NABP e-Profile information will have their credit for 1 contact hour (0.1 CEU) submitted to CPE Monitor as early as 1 day after the event and no later than 60 days after the event.  The participant is accountable for verifying the accurate posting of CE credit to their CPE Monitor account within 60 days.
