The GSHP Board of Directors met virtually on Wednesday, September 7th  to discuss and carefully consider options for the Fall Meeting scheduled for October 22nd-24th, 2021 at Brasstown Valley Resort.  In light of the current COVID surge due to the the Delta variant and resulting overburden to our pharmacy workforce across the state’s healthcare systems the difficult decision was made to cancel the Fall Meeting.

Although we have implemented a pause in our in-person programming this fall, there will continue to be opportunities to engage with GSHP over the remainder of the year.  The Education Committee will continue to offer relevant, timely, and high-quality virtual continuing education through the fall.  In addition, GSHP will also maintain the monthly networking calls for Directors of Pharmacy, Clinicians, Ambulatory Care, and 340B Coordinators to provide you with opportunities to connect with your peers across the state.  In addition, a call for committee volunteers was distributed late this summer and our committee chairs are actively planning opportunities to engage and support members across the organization.  

If you made a room reservation with Brasstown Valley Resort, the Resort will cancel that reservation automatically.  You may want to double check on this in a week or so.

We appreciate you and the work you do for patients across the states.  It should be noted that the continued success of GSHP is because of YOU!  On behalf of the Board, we are grateful for your commitment and dedication to GSHP.  We look forward to our continued work over the coming months.
